HUCKABEE’S IMMIGRATION PLAN STILL MAKES SENSE

Mike Huckabee’s plan:

Hoist the border fence by July 2010 with “’interlocking’ camera surveillance system on the Mexican border.”

Increase border guard patrols.

Penalize employers who hire illegals.

Increase visas number for “’highly skilled and highly educated applicants.’”

Cut illegal immigrants’ citizenship unless they go back to “their country of origin.”

Immigrants who don’t register within 120 days and then leave the US must be “deported and barred from reentry for 10 years,” per New York Times’ Sarah Wheaton.

Huckabee’s plan now given varies from his leniency modus operandi while governor of Arkansas. Nevertheless, one should allow for a change like this one in that it is from “easy does it” to “toughen it,” a mode change that is permissible for any individual.

Have we at some time in our lives not all changed our minds about matters—both crucial ones and otherwise?
