LAS VEGAS- Police and Homeland Security officials are investigating a substance found at a Las Vegas motel, with preliminary tests indicating it’s the deadly poison, ricin. More definitive results from another test are expected today.

The substance was found yesterday at the Extended Stay America Motel. Police cordoned off the area and isolated the motel room where the substance was found. Three motel employees and another person were quarantined and decontaminated at the site, then taken to local hospitals for further testing. Police say all four appear to be in good condition.

Three officers who had been exposed to the substance also were taken to hospitals.
