Berkley California might as well be an al Qaeda enclave considering how they are siding against the very soldiers that sacrifice their blood and sweat for their right to be blithering idiots.
BERKELEY, Calif. — Local officials in this liberal city say it’s time for the U.S. Marines to move out.The City Council has voted to tell the Marines their downtown recruiting station is not welcome and “if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome guests.”
The measure passed this week by a vote of 8-1.
The council also voted to explore enforcing a city anti-discrimination law, focusing on the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.
In a separate item, the council voted, also 8-1, to give protest group Code Pink a parking space in front of the recruiting office once a week for six months and a free sound permit for protesting once a week.
My opinion is that the next time Berkley requests federal aid in the case of a disaster that the National Guard, Corp of Engineers, etc. should pull up to the city limits and just sit there and laugh at the retards who would rather let communists and other assorted anti-Americans protest while spitting on our soldiers.

Be proud Marines. These cowards need us. They are just spineless creatures roaming their toilet bowl of berkley looking for something to belong to. They are cognizant of their weaknesses and realize they do not have the intestinal fortitude to stand up and do the right thing for this country. For this they have to cling to something they can claim.
The people of Berkley need thier oun country, lets call it Berkastan. These people are not welcome in our country. I wouldn’t give them a dime of federal funds. How could anyone that lives in the USA do and say such stupid things? I’m 64, but would like to kick thier butts. God Bless our Marines.
I say we paint a giant bulls eye around Berkeley, so when N. Korea decides to lob a nuclear missile at the west coast they know where it needs to go…then, the military can sit back and watch those old hippies whine and scramble. God Bless our military!
If it weren’t for our military protecting this country we would probably be in the same boat as Iraq was in with a leader like Sadam, then they wouldn’t be able to open their ignorant mouths against their country, they would be tortured and killed for saying anything. What idiots!!

As a retired Marine Corps GySgt, I think that this is just how most Liberals feel, just they are too coward to say to our faces. That it takes a whole city to finally come up with the guts….read that as 100,000+ men and women finally being able to pull up the courage that 1/100,000,000 of a single military person has…hey what can you expect? What a bunch of ball-less, stupid (ignorance is not an excuse for stupidity so they can’t claim ignorance) liberals.
I think the Marine Corps and other military services should pull out of their town. BUT, not before Berkley, CA, compensates the Military Services for the freedom that they enjoy. By my estimates, I think the bill should come to about $3,927 TRILLION for the City of Berkley (that is $1T per military death in the Iraq War) and $28,938M (number of injured in Iraq War) per person living in Berkley who support this stand that the city is taking. As these men and women have made the sacrifice to these ungrateful PIGS, then those who died and were injured should be compensated.
Just think, with that money coming in, the Va could afford to pay the vets what they are worth and not some low stipend that carries the same weight as the voices of Berkley.

This makes me sick on my stomach…I am 100% supportive of free speech, but this country has gone too far and frankly, I am sick of it…
What gets me is that they are targeting a recruiting station and claiming this war is creating “Unjust Mass Murders” when all throughout the city, are numerous abortion clinics, where mass murder happens on a daily basis!
But you don’t see them protesting outside their doors? Why? Because it is considered “pro choice” and that type of killing or murder is ok. Well as far as I know, enlisting in service is also a choice. These men and women choose to enlist and defend this country. And we are a safer place because of them. We do not have a draft. Just like the police choose to “protect and serve” so do the military, just on a grander scale.
Who do these whining little socialist call first when they need help? Who helped them during the horrible earthquakes? Not this Code Pink Anti-American Group… Let’s see who they turn to for help when our country suffers another attack of terrorism. Nobody loves a war or the death that comes with it. But what is the alternative? Do we fight the war there or bring the fight here to our own country? Either way, we MUST support our troops and not only when it is convenient to do so.
When the $hiite hits the fan, I am sure they will cry for support. But they would be the very last speck in the U.S. I would help. Let the singing granny and her Code Pink groupies come to their cities rescue in their time of crisis.

We should send the leaders of Berkley to Iran, they are better suited for leadership there. I am so proud of the young men and women fighting for my freedom. We as true blue Americans will not let you spit in their faces the way you did our Vietnam veterans. To every true blue American it is time for you to stand up and call right, right and wrong, wrong. I remember another city called Sodom that reminds me of Berkley. Our military’s country’s color is not pink, it is red, white and blue. Thank you to our military.
I am a Marine on recruiting duty and this makes me sick. Not just as a Marine but as a American. How can we let this go on? Young men and women enlist everyday to defend this country and this is the thanks that Berkley gives them. So in there eyes, Cpl Dunham (MOH) isn’t a hero? He is the reason that we (Americans) are free and safe.

Grow a pair and open your eyes. Whether or not you agree with it, the mood in Berkeley (a sentiment, by the way, if any of you cared to do your research, is not shared by everyone in the city) is hardly a bad thing. Annoying? Hell yes. But a more than acceptable way for people to express themselves with a frustrating situation.
What I’m trying to say is this: stop using your hurt feelings as an excuse to promote federal funding cuts, thumbsuckers. It will never happen.

This has nothing to do with “hurt feelings”. This has to do with liberals acting like liberals and ignoring reality which is first and foremost that they don’t support the troops and the troops don’t support them.
Federal funding is the diproportional return of funds to the states. It isnt the government’s to keep or take in the first place. And to think fools gloat over Washington’s power to steal and withhold their own money. Did you think it was a gift from the govt? Soldiers killing in other countries has never positively affected our rights here. Evidence: we’re losing our rights today. We live in a police state. The consitution is dead. Americans are brainwashed morons. Freedom of speech has gone too far? You dont get it. Government worship is not freedom or American.
