Not as much as he would want you to believe. Think that if you are poor Barack will champion your cause if you vote for him? Well, truth be told he is more interested in other “poor” people besides you.
A nice-sounding bill called the “Global Poverty Act,” sponsored by Democratic presidential candidate and Senator Barack Obama, is up for a Senate vote on Thursday and could result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States. The bill, which has the support of many liberal religious groups, makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations.Senator Joe Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has not endorsed either Senator Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton in the presidential race. But on Thursday, February 14, he is trying to rush Obama’s “Global Poverty Act” (S.2433) through his committee. The legislation would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends.
So just remember, a vote for Barack Obama is a vote to help the really, really poor people of the world. And the poor here in the United States? Well, you’ll help pay that bill.
And you thought he cared about you? Ha!
Just remember, compared to many third world countries America’s “poor” are wealthy beyond compare. So when Obama and other liberals start talking about taxing the “rich” just remember you are richer than you probably think.

I think you hit it out of the park. The “poor” in America have no idea what real poverty is. But they will if we submit to a global tax scheme that taxes the “rich”. Because by world standards they are quite wealthy!
we need the rich in the USA taxes them more will only hurt more. But what about lower the money the government gets? what if we stopped giving money to the poor in other countries? and help our own. what if we taxed people like actors, that don’t give jobs just get rich, like the companies we want to tax. If you don’t have people working for you, than your taxes more bet that would shut Gore and the others up wouldn’t it? How can we have poor in our county and have Obama and Bush and McCain flying all over the places? All the rich men that became rich working in the government this is wrong don’t you think? Like the Kenndys that made there money how did they make there money? Hm!
