Writers Strike Still Not A Big Issue

It’s lonely being a union whose members don’t command any respect. Two months ago I talked about Rasmussen’s poll showing that the writers strike really wasn’t impacting people and thus not a good sign for them at the negotiating table. Well Rasmussen has followed up again and guess what? Most people still don’t give a darn that the writers are on strike.
It’s been more than two months since the Hollywood Writers’ Strike began and the majority of Americans are still feeling no impact in their own lives. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey reveals 63% say the writer’s strike has had no impact on their lives, while 25% say it has had a small impact. Only 8% say it has made a big impact.
In fact, the news is even worse for the writers! The numbers have gone up from just 59%!
If they stay on strike much longer do you think they can hit a full 100%?
Nah. Because there are enough losers out there (you know who you are) who just can’t get along without new episodes of 24, Heroes or whatever. Just don’t ask the federal government to intervene!
