Petty Squabbles And Blame Whitey Attitudes

Rev. Peter Johnson, who marched with Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. has a gripe with the day that was picked to honor the man. But he has more to say than just that. You have got to read this:

DALLAS, Jan. 21 (UPI) — A Dallas minister who marched with civil rights leader the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., said Monday’s birthday observance holiday is an insult to his legacy. The Rev. Peter Johnson, 62, director of the Texas operations for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, told The Dallas Morning News the holiday should be on April 4, the anniversary of the date King was assassinated.

“We have ignored the essence of his life and the horror of his death,” said Johnson. “We’ve allowed white America to escape the guilt of his assassination and we’ve allowed black America to drift back into a coma.”

Oh yeah, it was “white America” that assassinated Mr. King. That’s right. Even if you are white and weren’t even alive at the time you’re still part of “white America” and guilty of assassinating Mr. King. It’s guilt by association for being part of the group he reviles. The left loves that and lest you thought that Mr. Johnson wasn’t a leftist, you know the truth.  As for being a kindred spirit of Dr. King’s one can hardly believe that when he talks about dividing people among racial lines.  So much for the coming together of the races which will never happen with attitudes like his.

And another thing, while we are on the topic of Mr. King and the concept of “civil rights”. Can we please stop with the canard about “civil rights”? There are “constitutional rights”, and that is what the movement lead by Dr. King fought for.
We need to stop listening to these regressive reprobates who see everything with relation to the color of one’s skin. After all, wasn’t that supposedly what Dr. King’s message was all about?

Honsberger had this man on the radio and every time he was asked about his the white man should be guilty for King’s death remarks he tap danced almost like a Clinton when caught perjuring himself to prohibit an American citizen from having her constitutional rights. The man is a loon.
