Oregon nurseries, restaurants enter immigration fight

Jeff Mapes of the Oregonian notes that a coalition of businesses that employ many of Oregon’s estimated 100,000 undocumented workers have formed a local chapter of the national organization, Essential Workers Immigration Coalition.

Current legislation to prevent undocumented workers from obtaining driving privileges in Oregon is one of the projects that the organization is slated to address during the February special session.
