“Merry Christmas” Wins Out

In our last poll we asked, “When greeting people this holiday season you will say:”
The results weren’t even close and something that retailers who plaster their stores with “Holiday” messages should take note of. 92% said that they would actually greet people by recognizing the holiday their religion practiced (either Christmas or Hanukkah). Only 7% said that they would use generic terms like “Happy Holidays” or “Seasons Greetings”.
So the question is if over 90% favor Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah, who are all these retailers catering too when they talk about Holidays?
Results:
* Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah (92%, 659 Votes)
* Happy Holidays (5%, 34 Votes)
* Seasons Greetings (2%, 15 Votes)
* Have a Joyous Nondescript Time of Year (1%, 10 Votes)
