Is John McCain The Great White Hope?
J.J. Jackson* | January 10, 2008
No, I’m not going back on my word. I said I will not vote for the man who authored Campaign Finance Reform, the biggest blow to the first amendment in my lifetime, who rejected the idea of cutting taxes on those that fund the vast majority of our unconstitutional government and also the man that wants amnesty for millions of criminal and illegal aliens. I said it and I mean it.
But it is looking like McCain might be the new “candidate of inevitability” now with Hillary stumbling early in both Iowa and New Hampshire.
Reports Rasmussen that when residents were polled in my home state of Pennsylvania, John McCain was up on the top Democrats. http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/pennsylvania/pennsylvania_2008_presidential_election he leads Hillary 48 – 42% and Obama 46% - 38%.
In Virginia http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/virginia/virginia_2008_presidential_election he leads Hillary 49 – 38% and Obama 45% - 43% which would keep that state in Republican control nationally.
If you want to talk about swinging an election, shifting Pennsylvania from blue to red is a major coup worth 21 electoral votes.
But be wary. When you convert people who normally vote for liberals like Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Al Gore, “Snarlin’” Arlen Specter, Bobby Casey, and Fast Eddie Rendell, from one party to the other then they obviously see something that they like. And I’m warning you that they don’t like McCain for the occasional conservative message that leaks out of his mouth in-between liberal claptrap. But you might see McCain surge as people see him as the best way to beat back the hard core left and their golden boy & girl.
Rasmussen also reports that McCain is seen favorably by 64% of Americans. Why? Well, the fact that he isn’t going to touch the welfare state is probably partially helpful.
I personally don’t believe he’ll win the nomination though. Just remember, McCain also won New Hampshire in in 2000 and too many candidates among the GOP crowd are polling consistently better in bigger states with lots of votes.

How True!
Unfortunatly, I see one of four scenarrios playing out in this election. #1. If McCain wins the Republican nomination and hillary the Democratic nomination, she will push his button and he will angerly loose control. This will give her the white house. He can not control his temper and she knows it. I dont think Obamma could win the democratic nomination because The democratic party is overtly far more racest than they claim the republican party to be. But; #2. If it were between Obamma and McCain, Obamma would win hands down because of likeability and lack of republican intrust. #3. Any one else against Obamma and the Dems will play the race card bigger than ever, unles the Republican nomonee selects Condalisa Rice for a V.P. then the Dems would emplode. #4. Any other Republican can beat Hillary.
