Heineman Under Fire For Illegal Immigration Bill

Nebraska’s leader is feeling heat over his plan to curb illegal immigration.

Hispanic activists are blasting Gov. Dave Heineman for a legislative proposal that targets illegal immigrants by saying it’s bigoted.

Heineman wants to require state agencies to verify that all residents applying for state benefits are in the U.S. legally, but one activist says there’s no evidence illegal immigrants use state benefits such as welfare.

If there is no evidence that they are using welfare why do they care if they don’t get it???
