First T-shirt Straw Poll Of The Year! (Dec 31 - Jan 6)

Some people have asked why we didn’t run the T-shirt straw poll in the final weeks of 2007. The answer is simple - Christmas.  Anyone involved in online retail knows that as you start running up against Christmas sales start to slow and while they don’t hit zero the volume becomes less as the likelihood of delivery by December 25th becomes less and less.

So, we crunched the numbers and we found that it would be possible for people to skew the poll by purchasing items at this time for their candidate of choice during this time.  We figured that as much as 5% error could have been introduced.  So for the sake of accuracy we decided to let the poll rest for two weeks until sales started to rebound after the new year.

Mitt Romney - 22%
Rudy Giuliani - 20%
Fred Thompson - 19%
Mike Huckabee - 18%
John McCain -15%
Duncan Hunter - 5%
Ron Paul - 1%
Tom Tancredo - 0%
Newt Gingrich- 0%
Condoleezza Rice - 0%
Sam Brownback - 0%

Mitt Romney retains his over all lead which makes me wonder exactly how strong Huckabee is nationally.  Giuliani surges back into second.

Duncan Hunter had a slight push this past week posting his strongest sales yet and amounting to 5% of the total vote.

Remember, the T-shirt Straw Poll is based on sales from our stores.  1 item equals 1 vote.  So to vote you have to buy something.  Returns and cancelations DO NOT count!
