CCAGW Defeats Oregon’s Measure 50

CCAGW led a grassroots education drive that helped defeat Oregon’s Measure 50, which would have enshrined tax increases in the state constitution in order to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a new children’s health insurance program, while 60,000 eligible children are not yet enrolled in the existing Oregon Health Plan.  In addition to this victory, CAGW published three of its widely heralded Piglet Books in California, Maine and Tennessee, generating numerous television, radio, and newspaper citations in those states.  Among the absurd examples of state waste detailed in the Piglet Books:  $65.8 million allocated to administrative salaries by the Maine public school system; $20.7 million spent by the Metropolitan Water District of Los Angeles on a museum that tells “the story of water”; and $1.2 million in subsidies for state-owned golf courses in Tennessee.

On topic and intelligent comments are always welcome as are humorous observations. But liberal talking points with no basis in reality, off topic comments, spam and advertisements are not. Even though you may think you are an intelligent liberal, you probably are not. Keep this in mind as trolling is prohibited and will result in your comments not being approved and comments informing us how much we are a bunch of idiots because you say we are or espousing hate towards the truth are often moved directly to the official “I Hate You/You’re An Idiot” thread. Save us all the time and post there directly if you have a comment that would meet those criteria. Commenters reserve the right to mock claims about how liberal ideas, such as higher taxes, actually work and how conservative and right wingers, are NAZIs, racists, sexists, etc. and will do so with great regularity.
