Arrest report identifies bank robbery suspect as “illegal alien”

Jose Garcia, 33, who was arrested in connection with Tuesday’s armed robbery of F&M Bank on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, is identified in his arrest report as an illegal alien. Clarksville Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Cheryl Anderson said police are still investigating Garcia to find out if he is in the country illegally. The report lists “Jose Garcia” as the suspect’s nickname or alias — his name is formally written as “John Doe” in the report. The report also indicates that Garcia did not have a weapon when he was arrested.
