RSSAre You A Wage & Price NAZI Too?

It’s always illustrative to use exchanges between myself and emailers who think they have something of substance to say. Take for example Mike who recently emailed me the following which will help you learn if you are a wage and price NAZI who thinks that government can set arbitrary rules that apply only to certain people you think are not doing what you think they should be.
I’m a little sick and tired of you sticking up for Bog Oil and their constant gouging ogf Americans with high gasoline prices. They should be regulated by the govenrment and have their exxcessive profits confiscated!

Mike, what you are suggesting is beyond the powers of our federal government.
Maybe it is! But that shouldn’t stop us from leveling the playing feild and making gas available to everyone at a reasonable price. I don’t know, I’ve never much read the Constitution so I don’t know but I’m voting for Hillary because she’ll do it.
Mike, now that is scary. You have admitted you don’t even know much about our Constitution and you also admit you vote. No wonder our country is so screwed up. We have people like you who don’t know a damn thing about America trying to have a say in where America is headed.
Har, har. I know lots about Ameirca. And I have a right to vote so I will.
Mike, no one said you didn’t have a right to vote. But to be ignorant and try to participate in our Republic is like putting a person behind the wheel of a car and asking them to drive without ever giving them a lesson.
I suppose it would be pointless to ask you what you actually do for a living.
I’m not stuypid like you claim. And if you must know I work for [company deleted] assembling televisions.
Mike, no one called you stupid. I called you ignorant. It means to be uniformed which is not the same as being stupid. However the fact that you didn’t know the difference now raises that as a legitimate question.
But to get back to your original rant oh so many emails ago, how would you like it if the Congress decided that those televisions you are helping to make cost too much and mandate they be sold for 20% less. Then the company comes and takes 20% out of your pay to cover it? Bet you wouldn’t be too happy even though you are more than happy to ask the same be done to others.
Har, that’s just dumb. Why would [company deleted] deduct money from my pay? That’s just dumb
Mike, well you do realize that what you are paid by your employer comes out of how much profit they can make on each unit they sell right? If they make no money how are they going to pay you? If they have their profits cut by 20% do you really think that they won’t have to take that money from somewhere? It doesn’t come out of some magical pot the boss has under his desk.
I know you have blinders on. You want to punish people you see as evil. But when the same thing is proposed for you you just slough it off because you don’t understand basic economics. You’re in favor of large and arbitrary government control that is beyond our Constitution, will vote for it and just march on down the road to tyranny, fascism and oblivion gleefully.
That is absolutely pathetic.

Maybe the light finally went on in Mike’s head, because he stopped responding after that. But I wanted to share because it is a prime example of the mindset that has engrained itself in far too many Americans. They want to take and take and take some more from others and don’t care about the consequences.
Arbitrary government has been the halmark of many regimes over the years from the NAZIs to the Soviet Communists to Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela. You can always find them failing around the world so why bring the ideology here? Just move to Cuba and leave us be.

federal government regulate? Who do you think is behind the gouging? Its the US nazi government. We need total anarchy to bring it down and restore it to the way it was meant to be by the people for the people, not by politicians!
Sine America was not founded on anarchy, anarchy cannot help restore it.
