Anti-War Forces Lose Fight Over Iraq Resolution!

Great news to report this week.

A California county Supervisor, Roger Dickinson, placed on the agenda of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors an anti-troop measure that would have undermined support for our troops serving in Iraq.

It was quite offensive to us at Move America Forward to see a local government body considering a measure that would only serve to harm our troops, when measures dealing with foreign affairs and military strategy shouldn’t be the purview of local governments to begin with.

Move America Forward sent a delegation to speak at the Board of Supervisors meeting. We recounted our stories of what we saw first-hand in Iraq, and the progress our troops were achieving – progress that the troops themselves were very proud of.

Well, the Board of Supervisors voted to table Supervisor Dickinson’s measure and pro-troop supporters were handed a great victory!!!
