Murtha Declares “Surge Is Working”

Back from a visit to Iraq, John “Our Troops Are Cold Blooded Murderers” Murtha said during a teleconference:

“I think the ’surge’ is working,” the Democrat said in a videoconference from his Johnstown office, describing the president’s decision to commit more than 20,000 additional combat troops this year. But the Iraqis “have got to take care of themselves.”

Of course this won’t stop plans to surrender. Oh no. When victory is in sight is when the surrender monkeys are at their most fevered pitch. Victory in Iraq only hurts liberals. And they can’t have that.

It is important to note however that this success that Murtha is now admitting to comes without his help. Just remember that as liberals somehow try to make the case that victory, when it happens, was their doing.

    That’s a vital point. Whatever victory comes from
    this war is directly attributable to the home
    support of Republicans, Joe Lieberman, and a tiny
    handful of Truman Democrats. Defeat is not an
    option, and can only come if the Democrats force
    us to surrender.
