More People Are Armed Than You Think

Following a couple of tragedies where maniacs have now shot and killed people going about their daily business I just wanted to warn these crazies who often pick soft targets like shopping malls that you do so at your own risk.

While there are not enough people carrying and taking their second amendment rights seriously, there are more than you might think. Over the past couple years I’ve become more and more adept at spotting who is carrying and who is not. Mostly it is because I carry my .40 almost all of the time and have my CCW permit.

When at the malls this Christmas season I’ve been spotting a lot more belt clips giving away the under the shirt holsters, counter weighted vests and reinforced purses women have with them. They are actually pretty easy to spot once you’ve seen them a couple of times and you don’t have to even look hard.

Problem is that they are still far too few and far between to do any good. The odds of one of us being near enough an incident when maybe 1 in 100 people are doing something to protect themselves from crazies is low.

But we are out there. And we will act to defend ourselves. Just remember that that “soft target” may not be so soft after all. And if you want to go out in a blaze of glory there are plenty of true Americans that are willing to help you on your journey.

In thinking of the woman who effectively
stopped the Colorado church killer, I remember
many years ago when police departments would refer
to an obviously justified shooting as ‘righteous.’
That term needs to come back.

You mean the woman who the press has tried to discredit by mentioning that she was fired from being a police officer for *gasp* swearing?

The same woman the press has worked hard to rip out of the facts of the story by saying only that the killer took his own life but forgetting to mention that it was only after she wounded him and put him in a situation where suicide was his only option?

That woman?
