Immigration crackdown sends families packing

IRVING - The city of Irving’s crackdown on rundown apartments and illegal immigration may be driving some families out of town.

Oscar Alvarado said it is definitely the reason he has decided to pack up and move on.

“I am leaving for another city because they are getting tough,” he said.

The controversial climate appears to also be impacting school enrollment. The Irving Independent School District has lost 650 students this fall. If the trend continues, the district could lose close to $2 million in state funding.

I guess the Irving School district will have to adjust. It is a sad commentary when scholl systems get tax dollars for illegals.

It’s all about the tax dollars - that’s why the school is complaining. Without the illegals they get less money from the government money tree.

    WAAHHHHHHH!
