Republican Rudy Giuliani assailed illegal immigration in front of a mostly English-only crowd in Boca Raton Friday but did not repeat his recent accusation that rival Mitt Romney lived in a ‘’sanctuary mansion’’ where undocumented workers tended the lawn. About 350 people packed a hotel conference room to hear the former New York City mayor tout a fence along the U.S.-Mexico border and tamper-proof identification cards. ‘’The only way to end illegal immigration is where it’s happening: at the border,’’ Giuliani said, though immigration activists note that many people enter the country legally and simply overstay their visas. “The size of the numbers [of illegal immigrants] means you can’t possibly throw them all out.’’
