Even Washingtonians Fed Up With Taxes

Blue Washington is even having trouble convincing citizens that more taxes are the way to solve problems:

That’s the diagnosis politicians and pundits gave earlier this month after a complex Puget Sound-area tax plan for roads and transit crashed and burned and an elaborate measure to rein in tax increases by the Legislature passed convincingly.

America is at a crossroads. They are getting fed up with higher taxes to pay for necessary government functions while existing taxes are being increasingly funneled off to pay for socialist wealth redistribution plans. The problem however is that over half of Americans “benefit” from these socialist policies and aren’t willing to give up their own piece of the government pie.

Eventually either higher taxes or cuts to illegitimate government programs are going to have to win out. Hopefully it will be the later for the sake of our Republic.
