Got your attention?  I hope so.  Attached is a link to the LA Times Article from yesterday.  This deserves an immediate response from all of us.   There is a comment section at the bottom of the article that you can comment directly to them.  Make sure that everyone you know responds to the LA Times as well as to your local media.

Comment from John Ellsworth:

This doesn’t surprise me… The Main Stream Media has done a great job of slanting this so called “Poll” to fit their needs.

Lets just take a look at the two people that they have quoted:

I give you Mary Meneely. Ms Meneely, along with husband Tom, are democrat party hacks and Mary is a Democratic City council Member in Arco,Minnesota. Mr. Meneely, likes to write nasty letters to Time, Newsweek and others denouncing Bush and his cabinet. Hmm, lets see what Tom ,Mary’s husband, likes to write to <http://www.startribune.com/opinion/letters/11132196.html> Local Newspapers while his son is, or was deployed to Afghanistan:”What will he deliver?(In reference to General Petraeus’ remarks to Congress) Is loyalty to the American people more important than loyalty to the American president? Colin Powell and George Tenet didn’t appear to think so as they caved in to President Bush on Iraq. Gen. David Petraeus will be faced with this exact question in a couple of weeks. How can men of these people’s caliber buckle when they are neede d the most?

“There is no military solution in Iraq” is the most widely stated and then ignored evaluation in the history of this country. Get some guts, Gen. Petraeus: Cut the puppet strings that disgraced those before you. The American people demand your loyalty!”

TOM MENEELY, ARCO, MINN.

The arguments that are used to somehow give this so-called “Poll” credibility are not credible when you quote Party Hacks with a Bush Derangement Syndrome Mentality! The people behind this poll, <http://www.bloomberg.com/index.html?Intro=intro3> Bloomberg and the <http://www.latimes.com/> LA Times try once again to give us a biased Poll in the hopes our senses will be shocked into demanding President Bush declare defeat and Cut and Run from Iraq

“We support the troops; we don’t support Bush,” said respondent Linda Ramirez, 52, of Spooner, Wis., whose 19-year-old son is due to be deployed with the Marines early next year.

Let’s think about this for a minute…. Her son is 19… That’s 1 - 9, NINETEEN… He didn’t sign up when he was 14… he was well aware of what was going on… sounds to me like Mom doesn’t like it that her son has a brain of his own!

Please let the President know that not only do the Military families support him, but we are aware of the main stream media’s tactics to try to deflate “OUR SUCCESSFUL SURGE”

As the President told me last night… “We are winning” Damn right we are..

Comment from Merrilee Carlson:

Who did they poll?  It is amazing that at the point in time when the surge and its new strategy has the enemy on the run, that the media will do everything in their power to pull the rug out from under our troops on the ground.  They will quote the vocal minority as opposed to the silent majority who are working hard and strong to support our troops.  As we all know polls can be twisted to suit the polster’s requirements.  Take a look at the facts that 200 young men are graduating from boot camp at Ft Benning Georgia every week.  These fine young men know what the dangers of enlisting are.  Men and women around the world are re-enlisting at historic rates.  This does not show a lack of support for their commander-in-chief.  We as a nation need to get busy at the work of defeating our sworn enemies - the Terrorists.  If we spent half the energy defeating them that we seem to spend defeating each others political agenda we would have defeated the enemy a long time ago.  The more the enemy hears that we are divisive and are bickering about what and how to fight them - the better they like it and they feel they can hang on so we will give up the fight.  That cannot happen.  It is time that all Americans stand strong beside our troops and the completion of their mission - the defeat of all those in the world who would like to see our freedoms taken away.  Today is that day that we must all finally stand United for a Strong America!
