RSSKerry Barking … But Does He Have Any Bite?

John “I Served In Vietnam” Kerry is trying to convince people that NOW if the Swift Boat Veterans come after him through his military record again he’ll be ready. Which is kind of odd considering that you would think that he would have been ready the first time around.
Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, perhaps preparing to get back into the presidential ring one day, claims he’s now armed with materials that will make war record critics from his 2004 presidential campaign go running tail between legs.The 63-year-old Democratic senator told The Patriot-Ledger on Tuesday that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group of Navy servicemen who served with Kerry and criticized his record in Vietnam, will be revealed as liars.
“We have put together a documented portfolio that frankly puts their lies in such a total light of absurdity and indecency, that should they ever rear their ugly heads again, we have every single ‘t’ crossed and ‘i’ dotted, and I welcome that in a sense,” Kerry said after addressing Boston’s South Shore Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a shame we weren’t able to produce all that at the time.”
Is it just me or does this sound like the Saddam Hussein strategy? You know what I mean … claim that you can rout any attack and even deny that the enemies are at your gate even as they are dropping bombs on you and your soldiers are being burned in their tanks.
You would think that if Mr. Kerry has such exculpatory evidence which would prove that the Swift Boat Vets (who to this day remain a series of veterans that the liberals do not like and will not listen to while embracing phony soldiers and traitors like Kerry) were lying it would already be out there. He should be falling all over himself to get it out there and preempt any such attack and set the record straight rather than only threatening to do so if another assault on his version of events were to happen.
But like I said, sounds like he might be all bark and no bite considering he had how many years to prepare for the assault he received in 2004? Maybe Mr. Kerry wants us to believe that he is just being nice and warning them. But one thing that I have found from the many veterans I have known over the years is that they don’t take kindly to threats. I for one hope the SBVs take on Kerry again and force his hand so we can see what he claims to have.
One can only wonder what this evidence Mr. Kerry now claims to have contains. Perhaps hand drawn pictures of him really getting shot in the ass by a Viet Cong? Maybe a letter of thanks from Hanoi Jane herself thanking him for helping the war effort? Or maybe letters from soldiers that never served in Vietnam proclaiming his heroism much like the phony soldiers he rounded up for his Winter Soldier Meetings?
The funny thing about John Kerry was that there were not very many soldiers falling over themselves to set the supposedly flawed accounts of the Swift Boat Vets straight. The only ones that were were other hard left liberals who, like Kerry, has their own asses to cover.
Just remember though. John Kerry … he served in Vietnam.
