Edwards Has His Wife, McCain his Mom

I often pick on John “Look at my hair” Edwards for sending his wife out to do his heavy lifting (and looking foolish while doing so I might add), but now apparently John “What First Amendment” McCain has a woman to do his fighting as well; his mommy:

MEREDITH, N.H. (AP) - John McCain’s 95-year-old mother, in a swipe at her son’s rival Mitt Romney, said Friday that Mormons were to blame for the scandal that rocked the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.

During an appearance on MSNBC, Roberta McCain laid out why her son, John, deserves to win the Republican presidential nomination. But in evaluating McCain’s primary rivals, she criticized Romney’s Mormon faith and his time in Salt Lake City.

“As far as the Salt Lake City thing, he’s a Mormon and the Mormons of Salt Lake City had caused that scandal. And to clean that up, again, it’s not a subject,” Roberta McCain said.

Come on … now Mitt Romney is responsible for the 2002 scandals in Salt Lake because of his religion? Isn’t this the same thing that Hitler tried with the Jews to win support?

Talk about creating a scapegoat and spouting off irrelevancies! At least have valid reasons not to vote for someone! Otherwise you just start sounding like all those poor, ignorant Democrats here in Pittsburgh who still couldn’t bring themselves to vote for someone who didn’t have a (D) next to their name and gave the city another two years of the same old, same old.
