Socialists Loose Battle To Expand SCHIP

But the battle is not over against unconstitutional spending and social welfare under the guise of compassion:

WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 — The House on Thursday upheld President Bush’s veto of a bill to provide health insurance to 10 million children, but Democrats vowed to send it back to him next month, with minor changes, in the belief that they could ultimately prevail.

Despite a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign and intense lobbying by children’s advocates, supporters of the bill were unable to convert a single House Republican who voted against the bill last month.

Eventually all of you that support this sort of crap and spending beyond the powers of Congress (read Article I, section 8 and Federalist 41 IF you doubt this claim) are going to have to either just accept the fact that you are un-American or convert to believe in liberty. Because I for one am going to keep rubbing your noses in it every time you propose this sort of un-American, stealing of wealth in order to buy votes.
