Q&A: J.J. Jackson Answers Reader Mail (Part 1)
J.J. Jackson* | October 26, 2007
Been a long while since I have done a reader mail segment so I though it was about time this weekend to do a little three part Q&A.
Amber writes:
One thing I never see on your site are those annoying buttons requesting donations. I LOVE IT! I enjoy coming to a site and not being begged to give them money! Plus I love your coverage of the news!
Amber, the reason that you don’t see those little banners is because unlike 99.9% of the sites on the internet, I make money by actually giving my readers something in return that they are willing to pay for. Most of those other sites, even some of the “popular ones” do not. I use advertisements for my t-shirt & gift stores like those that you see to the right as well as site sponsors to make money.
I don’t believe in begging. If you have to beg you are not succeeding. And those buttons and donation requests bug the heck out of me too which is why you will not see them here. For as many readers as some of those sites that beg for donations claim to have they sure don’t seem to know how to actually make money off their sites.
Greg writes:
Why do you spend so much time writing articles about Ron Paul who has only 1% of the vote among Republicans?
I spend time writing about Ron Paul because people like you keep bringing him up. Plus he does some nutty things and I enjoy tweaking those supporters of his that follow him with lemming like loyalty and defend everything he says or does without thinking about it first.
Angie writes:
Who are you supporting for 2008 GOP nomination?
No one at this time. I’ve said it over and over and have taken shots at every candidate on a regular basis except maybe Duncan Hunter who really has been the biggest non-factor in the race for a variety of reasons and hasn’t really said enough of substance to have shots taken at him.
Jon writes:
Who would you say has the most potential to do the most good things for this country out of the list of GOP candidates? Who do you think has the most potential to do the most bad things?
Ron Paul and Ron Paul. The problem is that for as smart as the man is, his knowledge of history, the Constitution and the threats that exist in the real world outside of Paulbania all need major refreshers and it makes him a dangerous consideration for Commander in Chief.
Mark writes:
What do you think the biggest problem for the GOP is in 2008?
That every single one of their candidates has a liberal streak in them that will turn off a few percentages of conservative voters who will in turn not vote. That few percent could make a devastating difference on Election Day.
