Left Wing Continues To Support VoteVets and Attack Limbaugh & Patreaus

To this day I wonder what on Earth left wingers like Keith Olbermann are smoking:
While MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann can hardly contain his glee at smacking around Rush Limbaugh over the taken-out-of-context “phony soldier” remark, it’s notable that Olbermann himself essentially smeared Gen. David Petreaus as a phony at best and a traitor at the worst well before the Iraq war commander ever gave his assessment before Congress.Indeed, before MoveOn.org issued the infamously juvenile “Betray Us” ad, Olbermann’s minions plastered “Will Petreaus Betray Us?” in on-screen graphics during his August 16 program.
Of course Olbermann wouldn’t know the truth if it hit him in the face. And of course it is OK for him and other lefties to do exactly what they are falsely accusing Limbaugh of doing.
My policy has always been the same. Just because you wear or have worn a uniform does not make your opinion about war or Iraq beyond question. What counts is the opinion and whether or not is it backed up by the facts. The problem for many of these anti-war vets and soldiers (even those that aren’t phony) is that the facts are their numbers are small and new soldiers are signing up by the thousands and the re-enlistment rate is huge.
But it’s not hard to find a dozen or so to support liberal talking points. What was it? About 18% of the soldiers supported John Kerry in 2004? Yeah, you can find them. Doesn’t make them right or the majority however.

Oohrah! I just wanted to chime in before some anti-Iraq War weenie comes in here and tries that “you didn’t serve so shut up” line of BS. As a vet myself who took bullets for this country during Vietnam this is EXACTLY the correct stance to take. The uniform is not a shield to let you say whatever you want and slander people. And any “real soldier” would know that.
As a vet, by their theory, I am qualified to say that and tell you to keep up the good work!
Ah, come on Ron, we all know that “you didn’t serve” argument is invalid and only makes people look like fools when they trot it out. Besides, it’s true that Jeff hasn’t served - in a uniformed branch of the military that is. But every day when he goes out with his .40 on his hip he does serve – in the militia. And that is something to be proud of and to recognize!
I for one as a soldier appreciate his commitment!
The left is upset because they aren’t making a dent in Limbaugh. He has more power than they do even if they are in control of the Congress!
