Camden County sheriff’s deputies have arrested two men in connection to an assault on a woman in rural Sunrise Beach. Deputies were called to a residence there about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday after a female victim reported being assaulted by two men. The men, who fled the area before authorities arrived, were found and arrested a short time later, the department said in a press release. Jose Paniagua Avalos, 19, of Sunrise Beach, is charged with third-degree assault. The second man, Jose Guadalupe Delacruz, 26, also of Sunrise Beach, is being held on a Jackson County warrant for driving with a revoked license.
