Hillary Return Checks But Asks For It Back?

One would think it would be illegal to accept cash already determined to be funny money a second time around. But then again, this is the Clintons we are speaking of:

WASHINGTON - Maybe Sen. Hillary Clinton won’t be out the entire $850,000 tied to corrupt fund-raising bagman Norman Hsu after all - despite a pledge to give back the cash.Clinton (D-N.Y.) opened the door yesterday to letting the donors rounded up by Hsu write new checks - if they swear the money is their own and didn’t come from her disgraced “HillRaiser.”

“I believe that the vast majority of those 200-plus donors are perfectly capable of making up their own minds,” Clinton said in an invitation-only teleconference, according to The Associated Press.

Re-accepting scandal money has been done before - during Bill Clinton’s White House years. The Democratic National Committee was forced to return huge sums from tainted Clinton fund-raisers, as was the trust fund that helped pay his legal bills. Both told donors involved they could give again on their own.

So, basically Hillary has said, “Here’s your money back. Sorry we couldn’t accept it this time. But wait a couple months and send it back after this blows over.”?
