Congressional Democrats are trying to undermine U.S. Army Gen. David H. Petraeus’ credibility before he delivers a report on the Iraq war next week, saying the general is a mouthpiece for President Bush and his findings can’t be trusted.”The Bush report?” Senate Majority Whip Richard J. Durbin said when asked about the upcoming report from Gen. Petraeus, U.S. commander in Iraq.

“We know what is going to be in it. It’s clear. I think the president’s trip over to Iraq makes it very obvious,” the Illinois Democrat said. “I expect the Bush report to say, ‘The surge is working. Let’s have more of the same.’ “

Didn’t all these bozos give Gen. Petraeus the big thumbs up? Oh … that’s right. That’s when they though Iraq was going to fail.

Just realize this. Bush is a moron. Our troops are incompetent. Anything good is bad. Progress doesn’t exist. We’re going to Hell in a hand basket. That’s the liberal talking points. Even if Iraq was a land of rivers of flowing honey with gumdrop trees and smiling children and no suicide bombers tomorrow the war would be a failure in their eyes.

They are whining now about the lack of political progress and lack of reconciliation as signs of failure and signals that we should just give up. But if that is the case does that mean we should give up on American too considering there is little political progress in Washington and certainly no political reconciliation going on with the liberal Democrats. Oh, I’m sorry … that standard doesn’t apply to them. They’re liberals! They’re smart! Bow before them!
