At Least They Still Have Their Talking Points

Some might think that tenacity is an admirable trait. And it can be, when you have reason to pursue what you believe to be true. But as is the case of the Global Warming Is Manmade crowd, all they are doing is ignoring science (real science mind you) and embracing lunacy for the sake of controlling people. This editorial in the Register-Guard is a prime example of global warming hysteria:
Oregon and 14 other states seeking to enforce stricter standards for reducing motor vehicle emissions to combat global warming won a major victory Wednesday in a federal district court in Vermont.Judge William K. Sessions III ruled that the states can regulate greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles and rejected the auto industry’s claims that federal law pre-empts state regulations and, more preposterously, that the new standards are technologically impossible to meet.
The ruling comes in the wake of a U.S. Supreme Court decision earlier this year that the Environmental Protection Agency has the authority - and responsibility - to regulate heat-trapping greenhouse gases in auto emissions.
Well, at least this fool steered clear of discussing science which he or she probably has a weak grasp on at best.
Ah … at least you’ll always have your talking points. Even if you don’t have the facts in your pursuit of power.
Here are some good books to read that the editors at this newspaper apparently couldn’t be bothered with:

It’s true. When science and the facts aren’t on the side of the left they can always count on the courts to implement their will.
You ridicule the “Global Warming Is Manmade crowd” yet most of the books you cite concede that some or much of the recent warming is likely manmade.
The scientific consensus seems to be that humans have warmed the earth perhaps 0.4 degrees since World War II. This seems laughably non-catastrophic to me BUT it is very difficult to argue that humans do not have a hand in this.
I think that the most effectively way to fight this “catastrophic” nonsense is to agree with the science and say “So what ? Wouldn’t the money be better spent on other environmental problems ?” For the same cost of reducing the world temperature one tenth of one degree we could provide clean water to everyone in the world and save a million lives a year.

A claim not substantiated by facts is but a rumor. I suggest you stop rumor-mongering or provide facts to back that up.
I’ve read every book on this list except for “Cool it” and I would be hard pressed to say “most” of these books concede that “some or much of the recent warming is likely manmade” considering the point of most of them is to provide alternative explanations to the current Global Warming fear mongering.
It is a sad fact that most scientists do not agree with the global warming is man made consensus. Recent studies of peer reviewed documents and papers have shown that. The fact is that most scientists I have spoken with attribute the current warming [which is exacerbated by poor location of temperature sensors] is due to the continued emergence from the iceage the Earth has been in for the last several centuries.
“For the same cost of reducing the world temperature one tenth of one degree we could provide clean water to everyone in the world and save a million lives a year.”
Because there is no power to be gained by that. And besides, it smacks of socialism to talk about how “we” should be sending money to others to provide for their clean water.
