This Is What Scares Me About Giuliani

J.J. Jackson | August 30, 2007

Rudy Giuliani, a RINO never afraid to enforce violations of the Second Amendment or flop around on the issue of abortion and the inalienable right to life, might just be seen as the only candidate that can deliver traditionally blue states like my home of Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania has cast its Electoral College votes for the Democrats in four straight Presidential elections, but the competition has recently been too close for any Democrat to take for granted. In Election 2004, John Kerry won by just three percentage points and no Democrat has won more than 51% of the vote in Pennsylvania since 1964.

At this early stage of the campaign, it looks like the Keystone State might be competitive again in 2008. As usual, there is a slight advantage for the Democrats.

In a Pennsylvania match-up of the early frontrunners, it’s Hillary Clinton (D) 45% and Rudy Giuliani (R) 44%.

That’s what scares me, that Republicans and conservatives will vote for him because he “has a chance”. But think about it. Pennsylvania is a state that has twice elected a tax increasing, spendaholic, gun grabbing liberal in Governor Ed Rendell, the great RINO hope in one Senator Snarlin’ Arlen Specter more times than he deserved and Mr. I’m not showing up for work, Senator Bobby Casey who wouldn’t know the Constitution if it was put in front of him with a big neon label flashing “CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES” pointing down at it.

So if we’re so apt to support flaming liberals, what does that say about the high support for Rudy Giuliani? Uh huh … you see my point.
