Hartford (WTNH) - Pro-Immigration Activists gathered in Hartford Friday morning demanding the release of Said Zaim-Sassi. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested the Moroccan immigrant Monday morning at his Wallingford home. Zaim-Sassi’s family says he offered to turn himself in and there was no reason agents had to forcibly drag him from his home. ICE officials say all deportations are handled the same way and no one is ever given the chance to turn themselves in.
