The University of Colorado voted Tuesday to fire the loud mouth and factually challenged Ward Churchill

The University of Colorado on Tuesday fired professor Ward L. Churchill, whose controversial statements comparing victims of the Sept. 11 attacks to Nazis triggered a debate over free speech and scholarship.The university system’s regents insisted that their decision was unrelated to Churchill’s 2001 essay that called workers in the World Trade Center “little Eichmanns,” a reference to Nazi Adolf Eichmann, who was in charge of sending Jews to death camps.

They said they were acting because a faculty committee had found that Churchill, 59, a tenured professor of ethnic studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder, had committed plagiarism and fraudulent research in other writings.

Of course, proving that both he and his attorney are intellectual midgets, they have said they will file a suit in Denver court today claiming a violation of Mr. Churchill’s “first amendment” rights.

Let’s all remember however that the first amendment only applies to Congress and the States (via the 14th amendment) and prohibits them from preventing someone from speaking. It does not require the state to continue employing someone and give them a platform from which to spout their ideas. Sorry Ward. Sorry moonbats.

How did Ward last so long at his job ? He falsified his application stating that he is native American. He cannot really prove this as a fact. Right from the start this phony FALSIFIED his job application !! Is that not grounds in itself for dismissal ?

The sick issue here is that the clown will get another $100K in salary. He should be paying back CU a cool mill + for all the years of garbage he was putting in the students heads.

Ward Churchill had a friend, Ruben G. Mendoza, a teaching assistant at the University of Colorado, Denver. Ruben’s department Chair Dr. Moore, for abusing students, booted him from the university, against which Mendoza promptly filed suit. Ruben, an ersatz Chicano, resurfaced as an activist, and got fast-tracked to tenure at CSU Monterey Bay. Mendoza became the nosebleed of the fledgling university. Churchill was invited to CSUMB by Ruben to speak at a weeklong gathering of the clan. Mendoza also engages in academic misconduct, so far without consequence. The Duke lacrosse team fiasco shows that educators have created a phony cultural paradigm that distorts reality. And, no one exploits phony paradigms, obfuscates truth, or games the system like the Clintons. Point being, miscreants like Churchill and Mendoza have powerful political backers: the fish rots from the head.
