Three illegal aliens sentenced to prison for having sex with underage girls

Three men charged with having sex with Newton teenage girls were sentenced in Harvey County District Court Tuesday. All three men had pleaded no contest to their charges in exchange for plea agreements. All the girls allegedly had gone to a Newton apartment at 411 S. Kansas and engaged in sexual acts willingly, although the law stipulates the girls — ages, 13, 14 and 15 — were too young to legally consent to sex, Harvey County Attorney David Yoder said. Michel Garcia, 17, and Carlos Juarez, 17, who both were prosecuted as adults, received the stiffest sentences from Judge Richard Walker at 59 months each. Garcia was charged with allegedly having sex with the three girls in the Newton apartment.
