Politics As Usual – Feingold Stumps For Censure

Russ Feingold who has never met an usurpation of the Constitution he didn’t like (Campaign Finance Reform anyone?) is out playing politics again. Now he is calling for a censure of President Bush why? If you said the Iraq War, you’d be right …

According to a statement from Feingold’s office, one resolution will be aimed specifically at Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney for “misconduct related to the war in Iraq” such as “overstating” Saddam Hussein’s possession of weapons of mass destruction, “failing to plan for the civil conflict and humanitarian problems,” and “justifying our military involvement in Iraq by repeatedly distorting the situation on the ground there.”

Oh, but this is not all! Not content with just one censure attempt, he has a second too

The second censure resolution will “focus on the administration’s attack on the rule of law” with respect to the warrantless wiretap program; policies on torture and on the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and the dismissal of several U.S. attorneys last year. Atty. Gen. Alberto R. Gonzales will be among those cited in the second resolution, Feingold said Sunday.

Note: Feingold already tried the censure over the wire taps last year and lost which just goes to prove that liberals really do believe in try, try again as their motto.

There is still no word on Feingold seeking to censure any of his fellow liberals like Murtha, Kerry or Durbin for disparaging the troops and providing aid and comfort to the enemy. In the past, the later would have been considered treason but today it is not even worthy of a censure? And how about Feingold putting up a resolution to censure himself for clear violations of the first amendment?

No. It’s all about Bush and a war that he and his fellow liberals have got to make sure we lose in their quest for power.

On topic and intelligent comments are always welcome as are humorous observations. But liberal talking points with no basis in reality, off topic comments, spam and advertisements are not. Even though you may think you are an intelligent liberal, you probably are not. Keep this in mind as trolling is prohibited and will result in your comments not being approved and comments informing us how much we are a bunch of idiots because you say we are or espousing hate towards the truth are often moved directly to the official “I Hate You/You’re An Idiot” thread.
