Liberal DO NOT Believe In All Men Created Equal

Time and again we see this to be the truth. Time and again they prefer to grant privilege upon people because of the “group” to which they have arbitrarily assigned. The latest evidence is how the liberal members of the Supreme Court voted to say that it was ok to grant privilege based on race.

A divided Supreme Court yesterday restricted the ability of public school districts to use race to determine which schools students can attend, a decision that could sharply limit integration programs across the nation.

The nine justices split decisively along ideological grounds, with a five-justice majority ruling that school admission programs in Seattle and Louisville violated the Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection to individuals. Educators said the decision may lead many districts to drop efforts at racially balancing schools.

In a dramatic 45 minutes on the final day of the court’s term, three justices took turns reading sometimes-biting opinions that portrayed the ruling as either the natural affirmation or a bitter betrayal of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education desegregation decision of 1954.

“Before Brown, schoolchildren were told where they could and could not go to school based on the color of their skin,” Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. wrote for a plurality that included Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr. “The school districts in these cases have not carried the heavy burden of demonstrating that we should allow this once again — even for very different reasons.”

One day liberals are going to have to realize that IF you make race an issue, race WILL be an issue. Just because liberals cannot get past their own prejudices and know that they need others to dictate to themselves the proper way to act does not mean normal, clear thinking Americans should suffer under the delusion that race is what makes “diversity” happen.

Race is meaningless in the grand scheme of diversity. It is a construct of those that seek to find reasons to divide rather than unite. If you want to go to a particular school then move to that neighborhood, freely and without government coersion. If you cannot, then make your own neighborhood school better. That’s called liberty.

My wife and I are not declining to put our child in the majority “black” daycare by our house because of race, nor would we decline to put our child there because there are few “white” children. We are going to be putting our child there because it is a good daycare. Now, if the liberals could just act like conservatives and get beyond race the world would be a better place.
