Effort to revive immigration reform

WASHINGTON, July 27 (UPI) — The senior Republican on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee is trying to breath new life into immigration reform. Sen. Arlen Spector, R-Pa., says he is close to presenting a new legislative reform package designed to win over senators who voted down last spring’s compromise measure, The Hill reported Friday.Spector says his bill omits “Z-visas,” a main sticking point in the failed legislation that conservatives viewed as granting blanket amnesty to illegals.

The nation’s 12 million illegal immigrants would no longer be considered fugitives of justice, which would be the only change in their status, Spector said.

    THERE IS NO NEED FOR REFORM. THE ILLEGALS ARE CRIMINALS AND SHOULD BE SENT HOME AND SHOULD GET IN LINE LIKE THE HONEST PEOPLE WE DO WANT IMMAGRATING HERE.

    JUST ENFORCE OUR LAWS. YOU PEOPLE THAT THINK THEY SHOULD BE GIVEN A BREAK FOR STEALING WORK FROM AMERICANS AND RUINING OUR JOB MARKET WILL SEE. WE HAVE BEEN HURT BY THIS ILLEGAL UNFAIR JOB MARKET AND YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE IT OUT AS IF LAW BREAKERS ARE GOOD PEOPLE.

    THEY KILL 50,000 AMERICANS… A YEAR.. AND YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO HEAR FROM US. NO REFORM.. ENFORCE… YOUR GREED AND TREASONOUS ACTS ARE OBVIOUS..

    I AM AN AMERICAN AND YOU WORK FOR ME..     #1. It is morally wrong for a government agency to take my hard earned money and hand it over to someone else unless that person is incapable of caring for him/herself.

    #2. In the American republic, the people decide what is right and wrong. This is not a free country, this is a democracy and study after study, poll after poll shows we the people are sick of illegals and the burden they place on our towns and cities. Majority rules, not holding hands and singing hippie songs to the moon.

    #3. It is the duty of Americans to see that American children get the education they deserve, not to stand by and see the schools dumb-ed down because of children who are taught that they don’t have to assimilate.

    #4. Lack of respect for private property and American land. Ranchers on the border ought to be able to shoot at will after the **** these illegals put them through. The littering everywhere, the pets killed for barking, the water containers destroyed, the dead bodies that end up on their land. And National parks being the objects of arson. Aren’t pro-illegals supposed to be liberals? Pure filth. I’ve been to the border and seen the lay up spots, if you haven’t you should.

    #5. A guaranteed government lifestyle is why the majority of illegals are here and all illegal advocates can say is “but Americans work the system, too”. It’s an American system. —– Hello.

    #6. The US can always improve, but some people want a completely different country (and I will oppose these people until the end, private citizens or public figures). America owes no-one and has nothing to prove.

    #7. Instead of confronting harmful behavior, they make excuses for it. “They just want a better life”. These are the same ’sensitive individuals’ who “understand” the child molesters and the wife beaters.

    #8. The jargon. Over-used and over-rated. “Love, peace, understanding” .The race card, the built by immigrants mantra, blah, blah. Compassionate people my foot. A phony characteristic to go with the guilt card. True feelings for others require a helping hand, not a hand out. Tough love. Compassionate people would be screaming about the genocide in Darfur and would take action in Mexico, encourage leadership and change there. Lets see some rally in the streets there, La Raza. Funny, the only time “The Race” is on hand is in my land -the lazy cowards. Instead of just head nodding in agreement with those who want to give my country away, why don’t you “teach a man to fish”?

    This zombie like clichéd propaganda should actually be number one on my list because I find it so repulsive.

    #9. There are no fact based arguments. Boring mantras, yes. (see #9) FACT BASED ARGUMENTS– NONE. What does this say about the stance?

    Arlen Spector is in violation of his oath of office and has not protected this country from dangers “both foreign and domestic”….. I would rather have Phil Spector… He needs to be backing the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2007 and not amnesty… If he were listening to Legal Citizens rather than the potential votes of illegals, then he would understand that he is acting in a treasonous manner as are all Congressmen who support a blanket amnesty and Anchor babies and hardship case litigation. Ted Kennedy and George Bush should NEVER be on the same side of any legislation. These illegals have already cost the American taxpayer $400TRILLION since 1996 thru federal entitlements… we are going broke and allowing potential terrorists into this country by the actions of these traitors…What a putz….

    the american govt was founded because of “taxation without representation” and we are back at that right now with Spector’s newest legislation which was defeated months ago… Has Spector lost his mind…yes… the American people are overwhelmingly against amnesty and yet a few of his treasonous friends, Ted Kennedy and his son Patrick, are both in that pile and they should be vigorously campaigned against. Thank God for Computers, we now have EASY access to the voting records of these greedy pigs… I bet they think they are great Americans…If Ted Kennedy ever knew what people ever thought of him he would have to commit suicide…Spector is heading down that same road…
