Ron Paul Campaign Questions Giuliani Immigration Record

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has called into question the immigration record of former New York City mayor and current Republican presidential frontrunner Rudy Giuliani. Paul’s campaign claims that Giuliani’s stance on immigration is out of touch with the American people. Noting that Giuliani filed a lawsuit while he was mayor to prevent city officials from arresting illegal immigrants, Paul’s campaign said “Rudy Giuliani is more like Ted Kennedy than Main Street America.” Campaign chairman Kent Snyder was quoted as saying “When you compare Rudy Giuliani’s immigration record as a mayor to Congressman Ron Paul’s record as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for 10 terms, the difference is clear.”

Ron Paul Campaign Questions Giuliani Immigration Record…

Yes indeed. There are no ‘real’ Republicans in the ’supposed’ top 3 and we disgruntled Rs are not going to win with a pro-war candidate.

And that my friend is straight from NH.

No real republican among any of them … including Ron Paul.

Actually Ron there are plenty of real “Republicans” … just no real 100% true blue conservatives.

Hate to break this to you but the R’s ain’t going to win with an anti-war candidate. 90% of the families who have someone serving proudly like mine will not vote for someone like Paul and disgrace the duty and work of our soldiers. Try winning an election without that support. Go ahead. I dare ya.

It breaks my heart. Ron Paul is so right on so many things but he is so wrong on Iraq. And I can’t vote for him based on that.

The closest thing we have seen to a real conservative in a long time … yet so far away.

If I remember correctly quite a few of the terrorist that visited Giuliani’s city on 911 were illegal immigrants who’s visas had expired. It is politicians like him that made the US a safehaven for the terrorist cell. If that cell lived in New York City they would of been safe from the local police.

I’m so disgusted. I’m tired of “Republicans” trying to be the conservative party when they clearly are not. Paul is close but he still leaves so much to be desired. Giuliani, Romney, et al are just worse.

The problem for Paul is his stance on Iraq makes him unelectable. Heck, he doesn’t have any support from the conservative base and is regularly polling at 0% whenever the polls are not able to be spiked. Rudy is just another neo-con who believes in the nanny state. I could go on.

    Amber,

If Dr. Paul is so right about everything except “Iraq”, have you considered that perhaps you are mistaken in your views on US involvement in Iraq? Can one disagreement with you on one policy supercede all the hundreds of other policies you surely agree with Dr. Paul on.

What exactly is your position on Iraq that makes it such a deal breaker in suppoorting Dr. Paul?

You got to love to Pauler’s for their tenacity. They never give up even after our poll that showed that something like 67% of conservatives would be more inclinded to support a candidate like Pual if only he or she wasn’t so ignorant about history and if he was more supportive of the IRaq war and helping others in their quest for liberty. Still its we that should consider that we are wrong. You notice that they never do any retrospection of their own beliefs and thing that maybe THEY and their candidate are wrong however. Heck no… they’re stubborn because they are right!

You know why the Iraq War is a deal breaker for most conservatives? It’s simple. Because a candidate like Paul would be seen as willing to abandon the soldiers and their sacrifices after many have died for a noble and just cause.

And there is one thing that the Paulers underestimate. They underestimate exactly how hideous a thought it is to them to abandon those sacrifices. That why, like Thomas said, Paul polls at or just above 0% in every poll where the Paulers can’t rush to their computers and get their 5,000 votes cast. He’s at 0% for no other reason than his stance on Iraq. He’s so far out of touch with the conservative and libertarian base of the GOP it isn’t funny!

    Ain’t it da truth!

Don’t ever point out that their candidate is at 0% … it’s just a conspiracy. It couldn’t be that conservatives find him disgusting.
