Results of Second Amendment Poll Are In

J.J. Jackson | June 2, 2007

Well, no real surprise here.  ACD readers overwhelmingly understand the Constitution and the reason the founders put in the second amendment and are very much against even letting Congress sniff at having power to control arms in the hands of peaceable citizens.

76% strongly disagreed with the concept that Congress has a right to regulate arms among peaceable citizens and another 14% at least somewhat agreed (apparently I have a little more work to do with them).   Only 10% either somewhat or strongly disagreed.  No doubt those are nanny staters who think government policy perfect society and that the people cannot be entrusted with their own liberty.

The poll drew 1,173 respondants
