That’s the report out of the University of Colorado where University of Colorado President Hank Brown has finally taken action against the professor that once compared victims of 9/11 to “little Eichmanns”.
Ward Churchill over the years has made headlines by being outrageous and speaking to almost any radical left wing group that will have him. He has also hidden behind the his tenure which has kept him in place for this long. However, Churchill’s response to the attempt of him employer to part company with him is that he has allegedly threatened to sue if dismissed.
So much for freedom of association and right to contract I suppose. But then again, coming from a Marxist do you expect anything else?
But perhaps most telling is what NewsMax reports as Ward Churchill’s response:
“I’ve got more faith in almost anything (than in the university process),” he said. “A random group of homeless people under a bridge would be far more intellectually sound and principled than anything I’ve encountered at the university so far.”
Well, considering that he is part of the “university process” that would mean he thinks that they same homeless people are more intellectually sound than him … so by his own words they should be teaching and not him. Bye bye Ward old comrade. Sure it will be a long, hard fight. But this one is worth it to watch a liberal squirm.

How do you feel about the rest of the First Amendment? Does his contract indicate that he can be fired for any reason at all or did/does it require a just reason?

Enjoy watching this professor squirm alright. It’s all the fun you’re going to have for a decade or so.
Uh Jackie, “Treason” is when you give “aid and comfort” to the enemies of America. You know, like when liberals call our troops NAZIs, say the war is not winnable, etc.
Better learn your Constitution. And don’t speak when you have no clue.
Why do liberals always feel the need to show their ignorance?
I wonder if Jackie understands even something as simple as the First Amendment when she can’t evn understand “treason” Ron.
Let’s educate her? The “first amendment” only says you have the right to speak without being punished unless such has done actual harm to someone or the nation (i.e treason which was already mentioned and codified into the Constitution, but also other long standing exceptions such as slander, causing a false panic). It does not require that someone be allowed to retain his government job after speaking words that are so outrageous that anyone with a brain is taken aback or when he lied on his application and bore false witness for himself and so on and so on.
Like Ron siad, learn your Constitution. You won’t look stupid next time you decide to open your yap.
