Sharpton Enters Spin Mode After Ill Conceived Remarks

J.J. Jackson* | May 10, 2007

It’s not like Al Sharpton has to worry about losing his job or anything … he’s a liberal and liberals are a protected species.

Sharpton said of Mit Romney’s candidacy “As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don’t worry about that”.

[Al Sharpton] denied he was questioning the Mormon’s own belief in God.

He instead is claiming that his comments were directed at the atheist Christopher Hitchens whom he was debating.

That may be true, however then the PROPER comment would have been to simply say “those who believe in God will defeat him anyways” NOT “those who really believe in God.” Since Hitchens doesn’t believe in God, there would be no reason to insert the word “really” into that statement.

Instead, what Sharpton has been caught doing is exactly what he has done his entire career, spewing off to divide America and promote his power and agenda. The only reason to clarify who will defeat Romney as those that “really believe in God” is to imply that Mormons do not.

Please take note of “The Rules” which are prominently displayed at the top of every page.

“- Off topic comments are NOT allowed. If you think that you will comment on whatever floats your boat you will be banned. Comments must be on topic.”

This comment has NOTHING to do with this topic and is only an advertisement for your site. Therefore the link you provided is being removed.

I have no problem with you including a link to your own site (after all that’s why the link field exists in the comment section) but you must contribute something to the conversation in order to gain that benefit. I am not here simply so that other people trying to start sites can take advantage of my success and multitude of readers that visit every day and leech off me.
