The Committee for a Republican Future, a newly formed organization, to ensure Republican officeholders abide the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Republican Party platform, has joined with the Dingman Township Republican Club to support the efforts of Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta. The US Senate is debating legislation that will give amnesty to all the illegal aliens in our country and provide a path to citizenship for those who have broken our laws and defied our government. A meeting will be held at The American Legion Post 139 on Wednesday, June 6, at 7 p.m. to discuss the problem and how Pike county residents can protect this county and support Mayor Lou Barletta of Hazelton.
