Just Plain Silly … GOP Wants To Nix Paul From Debates?

Hey, I agree that Ron Paul is out of it with regards to Iraq, but this is absolutely childish:
Michigan GOP leader wants Paul barred from future debates
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The chairman of the Michigan Republican Party said Wednesday that he will try to bar Ron Paul from future GOP presidential debates because of remarks the Texas congressman made that suggested the Sept. 11 attacks were the fault of U.S. foreign policy.
Readers here know that I like Ron Paul’s take on the Constitution and spending and unconstitutional government, but that I find him an ignoramus when it comes to his foreign policy which based on a hideously flawed interpretation of history and reality. But ban him from future debates? Come on. Paul serves a purpose, which is to keep all these other candidates honest and anchored in the realities of how far down the path to a socialist nanny state America has gone. And he should stay as long as he has enough support to warrant it.
We do not need GOP party leaders deciding who is and who is not a candidate for their party. That is not proper.
