Giuliani calls immigration bill an ineffective hodgepodge

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) – GOP presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani says the immigration bill championed by a rival is a hodgepodge that won’t accomplish its central goal.
That goal would be to track everyone who crosses the border.
Speaking in White River Junction, Vermont, today, Giuliani said we need to know everyone who’s in the United States who comes from a foreign country. He says proposals in Congress stray from that goal, and have no central focus.
Giuliani said a bill being debated in Congress might solve some problems but overall would make things worse.
