ORLANDO, Fla. — A teen was shocked with a Taser gun and several others were detained at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom theme park after they attacked officers responding to reports they were spitting at guests, according to police.A Disney security guard said three teens and two adults who were visiting the Magic Kingdom from Long Island Sunday were spitting at guests and cursing. When a sheriff’s deputy responded, the five are accused of punching and kicking the officer and other security guards at the park.
The deputy said he was forced to use a Taser gun to subdue one of the teens.
Their punishment? Eight years hard labor in a non-ventilated Tigger suit and having five year olds constantly draped all over them.
Wonder if these miscreants will try and sue because their “freedom of spitting” was infringed?

This is exactly where my concerns have been going with the increased availablility of alohol within the Walt Disney World parks. When groups of young adults AND adults are walking around all carrying glasses of beer there is going to be a declining of behavior with the more they drink. My husband and I have been going to WDW since 1992 to get away from the constant presense of the crude, sloppy and rotten behavior that comes along with readily available alohol. I realize that so far WDW has kept ready beer to buy on the streets at Epcot, Animal Kingdom and MGM so it was a surprise to hear the intoxicated patrons were dealt with in the Magic Kingdom. Could they not have been prevented from entering the part while intoxicated? I am very concerned that Disney seems to be falling away from it’s more wholesome outlook and atmosphere for added revenue from the sale of alcohol. I am glad they dealt with these patrons but how much more of this will be happening if Disney doesn’t take a hard look at the results of allowing street sales of alcohol in the parks. They are doing a great job of eliminating the smoking to create a cleaner and healthier atmosphere for the majority of the patrons…hopefully they will do the same with the selling of alcohol outside of their restaurants. There are so few places anyone can go anymore for entertainment without the gross imposition of sloppy drunks…I hope that Disney gets that they supposedly represent much better than that and do what they need to preserve a clean, wholesome environment that everyone can enjoy.
