Christopher Hitchens Nearly Outsold in One Week By Reagan

Matt Drudge is reporting that ‘The Reagan Diaries’ outsold Al Gore’s ‘Assault on Reason’ (obviously his autobiography?) 49,626 to 49,621 units. As drudge points out that is just five copies.

But the news that I would like to focus on is that bitter crackpot Christopher Hitchens, who couldn’t argue his way out of a wet paper bag even if he had a machete to hack his way out, has sold only 58,490 copies (17,876 in the last week) of his latest book ‘God Is Not Great’.<blockquote>**EXCLUSIVE**

    Organized religion is the work of the devil and ignorance is it’s closest ally. Religion has always held contempt for knowledge, reason and ideas. Just ask Galileo, Hippocrates or any of countless others persecuted, tried, tortured, killed in the name of faith. Throughout history, the church has been used by kings, dictators and various other unsavory governments as a tool to validate their “divine authority” and remain in power at the cost of freedom. This is why America was founded upon the principle of separation of church and state. Thomas Paine, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson… very wise men, indeed. I know it’s not easy to surrender that which you’ve been programmed to believe from childhood, but all you have to do is google it, folks. Educate yourself and keep an open mind. The truth is out there. Hitchens is a hero.

    Just so everyone can see how much of an idiot Nathan here is I will quote Jefferson and the founding fathers who believed in God and a creator and has apparently been spending WAY too much time reading moonbat websites:

    Yes, as were many of the founders. Especially those that signed the Declaration of Independence which CLEARLY states their belief in the God, that all rights flow from Him and that all good government abides by those rights. Just like Shammy educated you on.

    Oh, and you might want to look at the last line of the Constititution above the signatures. You know, the line that says “done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the Twelfth In witness whereof We have hereunto subscribed our Names”? People that did not believe in Christ and the Christian God would never say such a thing. Which tells us to what “Creator” they refered in the Declaration of Independence clearly and without question.
