Rasmussen Reports On General Ignorance of Americans

I guess the good news is that only 45% of Americans think we need even more than the thousands of gun control laws on the books currently and further violate the second amendment rights of American citizens. But the bad news is that 45% of Americans think that we need even more than the thousands of gun control laws on the books currently and further violate the second amendment rights of American citizens.

Support for stricter gun control laws has increased following the tragedy at Virginia Tech. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 45% of American adults now say the country needs stricter gun control laws while 37% disagree. The last time Rasmussen Reports asked that question, following Dick Cheney’s hunting accident, just 39% said stricter gun control laws were needed while 52% were opposed.

Did anyone mention to these 45% of Americans that the Virginia Tech campus was a “gun free” zone where hand guns were banned? Folks it doesn’t get any more controlling than that and the shooting still happened!

What additional gun control laws can you have? Make it a crime to even think about a gun perhaps?
