BLACKSBURG, Va. — A gunman opened fire in a Virginia Tech dorm and then, two hours later, in a classroom across campus Monday, killing at least 30 people in the deadliest shooting rampage in U.S. history, government officials told The Associated Press. The gunman was killed, bringing the death toll to 31.

“Today the university was struck with a tragedy that we consider of monumental proportions,” said Virginia Tech president Charles Steger. “The university is shocked and indeed horrified.”

So much for “gun free school zones” huh?

What’s the old saying? Something about when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns? Case and point right here. This is exactly what our culture has perpetuated. We now have a society were citizens are either too affraid (because they have been taught to fear guns) or too scared (because of current laws that criminalize carrying guns) to actually partake of their second amendment rights. It is pathetic that no one was able to stand up and fight back against this lunatic.

Good thing I carry my .40 cal; gun laws be damned because the Second Amendment trumps them. Even if some of the the jello-brains on the Supreme Court aren’t smart enough to actually read what the founders clearly said they meant.

The gunman (who as best I can tell is still unnamed) is the lowest of all forms of cowards and will surely find a nice warm spot waiting for him upon his arrival in the afterlife. Hope he brought lots of marshmellows.
