Eight immigrants held in alleged black tar heroin ring

CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) - Eight illegal Mexican immigrants originally swept up in an immigration arrest last month are now charged with trafficking in a rare type of heroin in Pittsburgh and its western suburbs, including parts of Beaver County. The state Attorney General’s office says the men were initially charged with being in the country illegally when they raided a Moon Township apartment on March 23rd. But authorities say they found six ounces of black tar heroin, money and various records about how the drugs were sold in the apartment.
