Americans Want to Raise Taxes On “the Rich”

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of American adults agree with New York Senator Hillary Clinton’s call to raise taxes on wealthy Americans. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 31% are opposed.

And why shouldn’t they? All these years all the American people have been told is how evil the rich are and how they must have cheated to get what they have. And on top of that, when you’ve got all sorts of socialist programs that need funded that money has to come from somewhere right?

I think it is time that instead of punishing those that have worked hard with high tax rates we should flip it around. Why punish those that have worked hard and succeeded? I say punish those that are not working hard and have not succeeded. It’s time to tax the poor and punish them for being poor. 28% right off the top of their pay checks sounds about right.

Maybe doing that will get them out there and working harder. Like the rest of us working two jobs to help make a better life for our familes. Sounds like great motivation to me!

See how those with their hands out there about the “rich” like it for a change. My God! Could you imagine how quickly there would be riots in the street? But I think that you should never ask someone else to do what you are not willing to do yourself. And if you are going to ask the “rich” to pay higher taxes the “poor” should be willing to step up and do the same. Especially since the “poor” in America are so much richer than the truly poverty stricken souls around the world. I think they should pair their “fair share”.

So the majority of Americans want to raise taxes on the people that sign their paychecks. Seems like we need to spend more time teaching economics in school than how to put a condom on a banana.

I’d say we should tax the poor 50%. That will get them moving faster.
